Challenger Elementary
Since September of 1990, Challenger Elementary School has been helping children grow into capable, happy and responsible adults.
From kindergarten through fifth grade, Challenger Elementary helps to assist children develop their intellectual capacity, sense of civic and personal responsibility, and self-esteem through a stimulating and positive environment. We recognize that school should be fun and exciting and we at Challenger hope to make it so. When children love learning, they are able to excel in many diverse and exciting subjects. 1) Any student's names you see on "assignments" or examples are fictitious and created only for the purpose of the lesson. Any similarities to someone you may know is purely coincidental.
2) I have not corrected any spelling or grammar errors. Since the intent of this site is to show what can be done to meet required State Technology GLCE's and incorporate Math, Writing, Social Studies, and Science GLCE's, I used actual student work whenever possible. 3) The only links I will have embedded in my site will be on the page listed specifically for links. Hi, I am Mrs. DeMeester. I have worked for Kentwood Public Schools
for 10 years now, and in education in one form or another for 25 years.
I have been working on/with computers since 1973, including the first
student computer usage at East Kentwood High School. Trust me when I
say we have come a LONG, LONG way since then! I am an EK Graduate,
having attended Kentwood from Kindergarten through my graduation. My husband
is also an EK Grad, as well as two of my three children are EK Grads.
The last one is a Senior at EK now. I am also a GRCC (Formerly GRJC) Grad.
